The National Association of Pension Funds (NAPF) is the leading voice of workplace pensions in the UK. We speak for 1,200 pension schemes with some 15 million members and assets of around £800 billion. NAPF members also include over 400 businesses providing essential services to the pensions sector.

 

The NAPF offers three key services of particular interest to HR professionals: PENSIONSFORCE; HR PensionsConnection; and Pension Quality Mark.

PENSIONSFORCE, part of the NAPF’s employee education initiatives, aims to encourage employees to plan and save for their retirement. PENSIONSFORCE can offer you your own Pension Guide, free of charge, to set-up, organise and run employee meetings in your workplace.

By the end of the meeting your employees will:

  • Learn why it is important to save for retirement and the consequence of not doing so
  • Appreciate how to plan for retirement and the options that are available
  • Understand your role and contribution as an employer
  • Be more aware of the need to make informed choices based on the removal of ignorance
  • Know where to go for more information - inside or outside of their organisation.

The NAPF can also help employers develop their own pension awareness programmes.  Using ' The Long Weekend' an educational film made by the NAPF in conjunction with Quietroom, a specialist film maker, the NAPF offers a wide range of options for employers including developing customised educational materials and training programmes.

 

HR PensionsConnection is an NAPF service designed to help HR professionals meet the growing challenges of running workplace-based pension schemes. It provides you with opportunities to network, share best practice and ideas with other schemes and get up-to-date information and news on latest regulations and legislation.

 

Why having a Pension Quality Mark is good for your business? You invest a lot of time and money in your pension scheme. However, many employees are confused by pensions and often don’t understand the quality of the pension on offer. That’s where Pension Quality Mark (PQM) comes in - it’s your chance to demonstrate the value of what you provide your staff, through an independent award scheme.
