Ferrier Pearce gets personal at Employee Benefits Live 2011

Wednesday, September 14, 2011
‘How well do you know your employees?’

This is the question that communications experts Ferrier Pearce will be asking at Employee Benefits Live on 27-28th September at The Business Design Centre, London.

A recent survey by the Institute of Direct Mail revealed that 48% of recipients who receive personalised and segmented material are more likely to engage with it. This response level drops to a mere 3% when communications are sent out without using these techniques.

Despite these statistics, many organisations continue to send out generic communications, as Ferrier Pearce’s Executive Chairman Nigel Ferrier knows from experience:

“We were recently called in by an organisation to revitalise their flexible benefit communications. It was immediately obvious to us why the take up of the scheme was close to zero – the letter inviting employees to join had been sent out irrespective of their sex, age or needs. It did not even address them by name.

“Some companies appear to know a lot more about the needs of their external customers than the needs of their employees – or as we prefer to call them – their internal customers.”

Ferrier Pearce has over 20 years’ experience in helping companies communicate more effectively with their employees, delivering communication packages for the likes of or the likes of Arup, BP, Babcock, HMV, Kellogg’s, TT electronics, Experian, Wates, BHP Billiton, P&O, Taylor Wimpey and Centrica.

They regularly work with FTSE listed companies and attribute their success to delivering communications that treat employees as individuals.

To emphasise the benefits of a personalised approach to communications, all visitors to the Ferrier Pearce stand will have the opportunity for a free portrait sitting with award-winning photographer Anthony Gould-Davies.

With a career spanning film, television and national magazines, Anthony is well known as a photographer to the stars and will be joining Ferrier Pearce at stand no. 165 for the duration of the show.

Visitors will be able to take away their portraits on a bespoke USB stick and will receive free entry into a prize draw to win a family portrait sitting with Anthony.
